Talent Navigator vs Turing

Two platforms that both lean on automated vetting. The question worth asking is whether you get to read the assessment, and who employs the person at the end of it.

How Turing charges

Automated vetting feeds a matching engine, and you are billed a monthly or hourly rate per developer with the platform margin inside it. Engagements are generally structured as contract placements.

How we charge

Free search, a published score on every profile, and credits spent only on the profiles you want to reveal. Then hire directly, or put them on our payroll for a flat monthly fee.

The money

Three engineers, ongoing

With Turing

Three blended rates, each carrying platform margin every month.

With Talent Navigator

Three credits to unlock, then salary plus a flat fee per developer if you use our payroll.

Our fee is the same whether the engineer earns 40,000 or 140,000, which is the whole point of a flat fee.

Pick Turing if

  • You want the platform to pick for you rather than search yourself.
  • You need a managed contract team stood up without running your own process.

Pick us if

  • You want to read the evidence behind a score, not just the score.
  • You are hiring permanently and do not want a margin on the rate forever.
  • You want the hire employed properly in their country without opening an entity.
Questions

Switching from Turing

Do you match candidates for me?+

Smart Match ranks the network against your role on paid plans, and you can always ask us to source directly. But search is free and open, so most clients shortlist themselves in an afternoon.

Can I see the assessment before I pay?+

You see the scores free. Unlocking a profile reveals identity, contact details and the full report, and downloading the report itself costs nothing.

Everything described about other companies comes from their own public pricing and product pages, and reflects what they published at the time of writing. Rates vary by role, seniority and region. Check their current terms before you decide, and tell us if anything here has gone out of date.
