We’re looking for a collaborative Senior Software Engineer to join our Revenue Engineering team
As a Senior Software Engineer, Revenue Engineering, you’ll design, build, and evolve the software and integration services that connect Muck Rack’s product with our commercial systems
You’ll play a key role in enabling capabilities like in-app purchasing, automated provisioning, customer onboarding, and subscription lifecycle automation by designing scalable backend services, APIs, and event-driven integrations
You’ll partner closely with Product, Revenue Operations, Finance, and Salesforce implementation partners to deliver reliable, scalable solutions
As a senior member of the team, you’ll help shape the architecture of Muck Rack’s integration platform, lead complex technical initiatives, and ensure our revenue platform remains resilient, maintainable, and ready to scale as self-service and Product-Led Growth capabilities evolve
Design, build, and maintain backend services and applications using Python and Django that power customer provisioning, permissions/packaging, self-service purchasing, and subscription lifecycle workflows
Design and implement APIs and event-driven integrations between Muck Rack, Salesforce Revenue Cloud, Stripe, RightRev, and other business systems
Lead the evolution of Muck Rack’s internal integration platform, designing scalable services that reliably translate commercial events into product actions and customer experiences
Partner closely with Product, Revenue Operations, Finance, and Salesforce implementation partners to define integration patterns, API contracts, event models, and scalable technical solutions
Lead the technical design and delivery of medium-to-large engineering initiatives from architecture through production
Identify cross-system dependencies and technical risks early, partnering across teams to drive decisions and unblock delivery
Write clean, well-tested, and well-documented code while setting a high bar through thoughtful code reviews and technical mentorship
Improve the reliability, observability, scalability, and performance of revenue-critical services and proactively identify opportunities to simplify and modernize the platform
Troubleshoot complex production issues across systems and help establish patterns that improve platform resilience
Contribute to the long-term architecture of Muck Rack’s revenue platform, ensuring solutions remain modular, maintainable, and extensible as self-service purchasing and Product-Led Growth capabilities expand

Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical considerations for both technical and non-technical partners
Experience integrating with billing, payment, or quote-to-cash platforms
Experience using Git and modern collaborative software development workflows

Experience designing scalable, maintainable backend services in a SaaS environment

Experience designing event-driven or distributed systems
Proven ability to independently lead technical initiatives from architecture and design through production
Identify ambiguity and dependencies early and help teams move toward clear technical decisions
Experience designing and building REST APIs and integrating with third-party platforms and external systems
Experience working in a high-growth SaaS environment
Proactively incorporate AI tools into day-to-day work to improve productivity and accelerate delivery
Collaborate effectively across Engineering, Product, Revenue Operations, Finance, and other business teams
Experience with Vue.js or another modern frontend framework
Experience building systems that support customer provisioning, subscription management, billing, or revenue workflows
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and production support experience across distributed systems and integrations
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologies
Experience integrating with Salesforce or other CRM platforms; Salesforce administration experience is not required
Experience building or evolving internal integration platforms
Flexibility to adjust working hours for overlap with teammates in US time zones
Strong understanding of relational databases, particularly MySQL, and ORM patterns
Balance pragmatism with long-term maintainability when making engineering decisions
Experience with event-driven architectures, asynchronous processing, or messaging platforms such as Kafka, Celery, or similar technologies
Set a high technical bar while helping other engineers grow through mentorship and thoughtful feedback
