Job Overview: We are seeking an innovative, forward-thinking Front-End Developer to lead the development of a new consumer-facing online application.
This is a unique, highly modern role centered around AI Spec-Driven Development. You will not just be writing code from scratch; you will be acting as a technical leader who heavily leverages AI to accelerate the entire software development lifecycle - from translating designs into business requirements, to writing agile user stories, to generating the front-end code itself.
Roles and Responsibility:
- AI-Assisted Spec Creation: Analyze existing UX/UI design files and product documentation, utilizing AI assistants to generate comprehensive Business Development Requirements (BDRs).
- Human-in-the-Loop Refinement: Critically review AI-generated specifications and code, identify gaps, correcting inaccuracies, and filling in complex business logic that AI may miss.
- Front-End Development: Architect, build, and maintain highly responsive, scalable user interfaces using React and TypeScript, utilizing AI coding assistants to maximize development speed and efficiency.
- Seamless Integration: Connect the newly developed front-end application to existing, robust backend transactional systems and APIs.
- Feature Ownership: Take end-to-end ownership of multiple application features (e.g., payments, user profiles, property details), driving them from initial design handoff to production deployment.
Requirements:
- Core Technology Stack: Deep, proven expertise in React and TypeScript for building enterprise-grade single-page applications (SPAs).
- AI-First Mindset: High comfort level with AI-assisted software development. You must be comfortable "taking your hands off the keyboard" to let AI generate baseline specs, documentation, and code, shifting your focus to architectural review, prompting, and high-level refinement.
- Spec-Driven Development: Strong ability to read, interpret, and refine complex business requirements and translate them into technical execution.
- Systems Integration: Experience connecting front-end architectures to established complex backend APIs and systems of record.
- Analytical Debugging: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly spot and correct "AI hallucinations," syntax errors, or logic flaws in generated outputs.
- Self-Directed Leadership: Ability to operate independently with a "lead" mentality, managing your own features, and maintaining high velocity in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the insurance or financial services domain (policy administration, claims, or underwriting systems).
- Understanding UI/UX design principles and accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments (Azure/AWS).
